Granted we are missing Braylon and K2, but whose fault is that? The Jets fleeced us.

The point is that Mangini was a bad hire. I followed him closely when he coached in NY and thought he was awful.

Forget people skills. I'm talking about clock management and game plans. The bigger the game the more Herm Edwardsesque he got.

Lets face it. You and I both would've never hired the guy, and you admit that. So just because Randy Lerner, who is football-blind, hired him he deserves time?

Suppose two minutes after RL hired him he would have called you frantically, "Frownie, Frownie, I screwed up and hired Mangini. What should I do?" You definetly would have told him to fire him, right? See where I'm going with this?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I posted this comment to your link at Frowns, so I...

I posted this comment to your link at Frowns, so I hope you'll respond there:

Mathers: Your argument appears to be entirely based on this one paragraph:

"Here is a guy that no team had any interest in and that all previous signs point to his failing. His G.M. was a hoax, best spelled out in this mind boggling article written by Jack Bechta for NFP. Players can't stand him, agents won't let their players play for him and his assistant coaches are a joke."

Haven't read the Bechta article, but you're going to have to do better than that. Same vague speculation we see everywhere else. "Players can't stand him . . . blah . . . coaches can't coach."

But how can you be so sure about all this without as much as considering the roster stripping that's gone down here?
